Hibiotic is an antibiotic used for the short term treatment of infections in different parts of the body caused by bacteria. Antibiotic, belongs to the penicillin group used in the treatment of bacterial rhinosinusitis, pneumonia, otitis media, prophylaxis or treatment against bite wound infection, diabetic foot infection, odontogenic infection and urinary tract infection. Properties: This drug contains the following compounds: Amoxicillin: It is an antibiotic belonging to a group of drugs called penicillin, and treats many bacterial infections by stopping the growth of disease-causing bacteria by inhibiting the biological structure of the bacterial cell wall, leading to its death. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid is commonly used with amoxicillin to extend its coverage to a wider range of beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, as clavulanic acid does not have any antimicrobial activity by itself, but works by preventing the bacterial destruction of beta-lactam in amoxicillin.
