Deltasone 0.75 mg 30 tablets Composition: Active ingredient: Dexamethasone – 75 mg. Deltason is a corticosteroid used to treat various conditions, including inflammatory diseases, allergies, and some autoimmune disorders. Dexamethasone, the active ingredient, works by suppressing the immune system and reducing inflammation. Pharmacological properties: • Anti-inflammatory effect: suppresses inflammatory reactions by reducing the production of inflammatory mediators. • Immunosuppressive effect: decreases immune system activity, used in autoimmune diseases. • Antiallergic effect: blocks delayed-type hypersensitivity. • Antishock effect: used in shock conditions, including anaphylactic and septic shock. Indications for use: • Various infections such as ulcerative colitis and arthritis • Allergies and skin diseases • Lupus • Psoriasis • Respiratory disorders • Adrenal insufficiency • Some sinus infections, asthma, and various allergic conditions • Some respiratory diseases such as pneumonia. Method of administration and dosage: • The drug is taken orally with a sufficient amount of water. • Dosage is selected individually by a doctor depending on the diagnosis, severity of the condition, and patient response to therapy. • The initial dose for adults may range from 0.5 mg to 10 mg per day, with subsequent reduction to a maintenance dose. • For children, the dose is calculated based on body weight and age. • When used long-term, gradual withdrawal is necessary to avoid withdrawal syndrome.
