Zithromax - Zithromax 500 mg 3 tablets Composition: Active ingredient: • Azithromycin - 500 mg Excipients of the core: • Pregelatinized starch • Calcium phosphate anhydrous (acidic) • Sodium carmellose • Magnesium stearate • Sodium lauryl sulfate • Purified (deionized) water. Pharmacological properties: Azithromycin has a bacteriostatic effect, blocking protein synthesis in the microbial cell by binding to ribosomes. It has activity against gram-positive, gram-negative and some atypical microorganisms.
