Xiclav 1 g is a combined broad-spectrum antibiotic used for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, which together enhance the antibacterial effect and prevent bacterial resistance. Composition: • Amoxicillin — 875 mg • Clavulanic acid — 125 mg. Pharmacological properties: Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamases — enzymes that destroy amoxicillin. This allows the drug to be effective even against resistant bacterial strains.
