E-Mox 250 ml/5 ml Suspension 80 ml Composition: • Active ingredient: Amoxicillin trihydrate — equivalent to 125 mg of amoxicillin in 5 ml of ready-made suspension. Pharmacological properties: How the drug works: • Kills bacteria: Amoxicillin disrupts the construction of the cell wall of bacteria, causing them to die. • Rapidly absorbed: After oral administration, the drug is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, even during meals. • Works in the body for a long time: The effective concentration in the blood lasts for several hours, so it is enough to take 2-3 times a day. • Excreted in urine: The main route of excretion is the kidneys, so the drug actively fights urinary tract infections. Indications for use: • Upper respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis) • Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia) • Urinary tract infections • Skin and soft tissue infections • Gastrointestinal infections (e.g. H. pylori - as part of combination therapy). Method of administration and dosage: Shake the suspension well before each use. Adults: 250 mg three times a day, increasing to 500 mg three times a day for severe infections. Children (up to 10 years): 125 mg three times a day, increasing to 250 mg three times a day for severe infections. Severe or recurrent purulent respiratory infection: 3 g every 12 hours. Otitis media: The recommended dose is 1 g three times daily for adults and 40 mg/kg body weight per day in 3 divided doses for children (max 3 g daily). Pneumonia: The recommended dose is 500-1000 mg three times daily. Dental abscess: The recommended dose is 3 g, repeated after 10-12 hours. Urinary tract infection: The recommended dose is 3 g, repeated after 10-12 hours. Gonorrhoea: A single dose of 2-3 g with Probenecid 1 g is recommended (Probenecid is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age). In renal insufficiency: A reduction in the total daily dose may be necessary.
