Tradename: Coloverin D Composition: Each tablet contains: Mebeverine hydrochloride 135 mg Dimethicone 40 mg Properties: Mebeverine hydrochloride Myotropic antispasmodic, has a direct effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract without affecting the normal internal mobility. The exact mechanism of action is unknown, but multiple mechanisms, such as decreased ion channel permeability, blockade of norepinephrine reuptake, local anesthetic action, and altered water absorption can cause mebeverine to act locally on the gastrointestinal tract. Through these mechanisms, mebeverine exhibits an antispasmodic effect, normalizing intestinal motility and not causing constant relaxation of smooth muscle cells of the gastrointestinal tract (“hypotension”). Dimethicone- Reduces flatulence in the intestines, accelerates motor skills, and exhibits defoaming activity. It is not absorbed from the intestine, does not have a systemic effect. When applied topically, it has a lubricating effect, gives teeth an even shine and prevents the formation of acid plaque and tartar. It is the basis for some external products, a component of various cosmetic moisturizers and lipodermal complexes (participates in the formation of a protective film), is part of a number of combined preparations. Indications: Treatment of functional bowel disorders such as: – Irritable bowel syndrome. - Pain in the abdomen. - Flatulence. - Bloating and dyspepsia. – Postoperative gas pains. Method of administration and dosage: One tablet 3 or 4 times a day, preferably 30 minutes before meals. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to drug components.
