Indications:
Vermizole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic drug prescribed to treat a variety of intestinal parasitic infections, including:
Pinworms
Roundworms
Tapeworms
Trichinosis
Streptococcosis
Cysticercosis
Combined worm infections
Mechanism of Action:
Albendazole works by inhibiting glucose uptake in parasitic cells, depleting the energy needed for their survival. These parasites are then killed and expelled from the body in the feces.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and children over 2 years of age:
Usually, a single dose is taken, or as directed by the treating physician.
The tablets are taken with a little water and can be taken with food to improve absorption.
In some cases, the treatment may require repeating the dose after two weeks.
Note: Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Warnings and Precautions:
Do not use during pregnancy, especially during the first three months.
Use with caution in patients with liver disease.
Contraindicated in cases of allergy to albendazole or its derivatives.
