Combined drug, the action of which is due to the components that make up its composition; has a diuretic and hypotensive effect. Furosemide is a “loop” diuretic; causes a rapidly advancing, strong and short-term diuresis. It has a natriuretic, choleretic effect, and increases the excretion of K+, Ca2+ and Mg2+.
Spironolactone competitively blocks the binding of aldosterone to its cytoplasmic receptor in the terminal part of the distal convoluted tubule and in the collecting tubule; reduces the reabsorption of Na + and has a potassium-sparing effect. Leads to mild acidosis due to H+ retention.

Edema and ascites in violation of electrolyte metabolism due to hyperaldosteronism and in case of insufficiency of previous treatment with diuretics; CHF; ascites due to liver failure; nephrotic syndrome.
