Compound:
Each tablet contains:
Mecobalamin 500 mcg
Folic acid 200 mcg
Auxiliary components:
Lactose monohydrate, starch, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
Properties:
Mecobalamin is one of the active forms of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is essential for nuclear protein and myelin synthesis, cell reproduction, normal growth, and normal erythropoiesis. Compared to other forms of vitamin B12, mecobalamin is better transported to neuronal organelles at the subcellular level. It is due to this property that it is more effective in the treatment of diseases of the nervous system.
Folic acid group B (vitamin Bc, B9). In the body, folic acid is reduced to tetrahydrofolic acid, which is a coenzyme involved in various metabolic processes. Necessary for the normal maturation of megaloblasts and the formation of normoblasts. Stimulates erythropoiesis, participates in the synthesis of amino acids (including methionine, serine), nucleic acids, purines and pyrimidines, in the metabolism of choline, histidine. During pregnancy, it protects the body from the action of teratogenic factors. Contributes to the normal maturation and functioning of the placenta.
Indications:
Macrocytic hyperchromic anemia caused by folic acid deficiency.
As part of combination therapy for the following diseases: anemia and leukopenia caused by drugs and ionizing radiation; sprue; chronic gastroenteritis; intestinal tuberculosis.
At the planning stage and during pregnancy to prevent the development of neural tube defects in the fetus in the presence of risk factors in the mother.
Treatment of megaloblastic anemia due to deficiency or increased utilization of folic acid (including during pregnancy, malabsorption syndrome).
Dosage and administration:
Take orally 2-3 tablets per day, in divided dosage.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautionary measures:
The drug is used with caution in patients with anemia of unknown etiology, since folic acid may interfere with the diagnosis of pernicious anemia by improving the hematological manifestations of the disease, while allowing the progression of neurological complications.
Side effects:
From the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, bloating, flatulence, a feeling of bitterness, anorexia. From the immune system: allergic reactions, including skin rash, erythema, urticaria, itching and respiratory failure due to bronchospasm, arterial hypotension, anaphylactic reactions. From the side of the central nervous system: fever, sleep disturbance, convulsions. From the urinary system: hypertrophy of epithelial cells in the tubules of the kidneys and a violation of their functions.
