Mirtimash 30 mg 30 tablets Composition: Each tablet contains: • Mirtazapine — 30 mg Pharmacological properties: Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant with the following effects: 4. Antidepressant action: • Blocks α2-adrenergic receptors and enhances the transmission of serotonin and norepinephrine • Increases the activity of 5-HT1 receptors and reduces the stimulation of 5-HT2 and 5-HT3 5. Anxiolytic and sedative action: • Has a pronounced sedative effect, especially in the initial stages of therapy • Reduces anxiety, improves sleep 6. Appetite and body weight: • May cause increased appetite and weight gain Indications for use: • Major depressive disorder (MDD) • Anxiety disorders • Insomnia due to depression • PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder (as prescribed by a doctor) Method of administration and dosage: • Recommended initial dose: 15–30 mg once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime • Maintenance dose: 15–45 mg/day, depending on the clinical response • The tablet should be taken whole with water, regardless of food intake • The effect may appear after 1–2 weeks, the full therapeutic effect – after 3–4 weeks • Do not stop taking the drug abruptly – a gradual reduction in the dose is necessary.
