Seroquel 100 mg 30 tablets Composition (for 100 mg tablets): quetiapine — 100 mg. Pharmacological properties: Antipsychotic effect: blocks dopamine (D2) and serotonin (5-HT2A) receptors. Sedative effect: especially pronounced at low doses (25–100 mg), used for insomnia and anxiety. Tranquilizing effect: relieves agitation and anxiety. Indications for use: Schizophrenia. Bipolar disorder (manic and depressive episodes). Depression as part of combination therapy (as prescribed by a doctor). Sometimes used "off-label" in small doses to treat insomnia or anxiety (only as prescribed by a doctor!). Method of administration and dosage: 1. Schizophrenia (adults): Initial dose: 50 mg on the first day, then gradually increase: Day 2: 100 mg Day 3: 200 mg Day 4: 300 mg Therapeutic dose: from 300 to 800 mg/day, divided into 2 doses. 2. Bipolar disorder (manic episodes): Titration scheme is similar: Day 1: 100 mg Day 2: 200 mg Day 3: 300 mg Day 4: 400 mg Usual dose: 400-800 mg/day 3. Bipolar depression: Initial dose: 50 mg/day Increased to 300 mg/day by day 4 (one dose before bedtime) Important: This drug is available by prescription. Do not combine with alcohol. Requires medical supervision.
