Vental Compositum Suspension for oral inhalation, 200 puffs
Composition:
Active substances:
Beclomethasone dipropionate — 50 mcg/puff
Salbutamol — 100 mcg/puff.
Description:
Vental Compositum is a fixed-dose combination inhaler containing a corticosteroid (beclomethasone) and a short-acting β2-agonist (salbutamol). It provides anti-inflammatory and bronchodilatory effects, indicated in patients with asthma whose symptoms are not adequately controlled with short-acting bronchodilators alone.
Indications for Use:
Treatment of asthma in patients requiring both inhaled corticosteroids and short-acting β2-agonists
For patients not adequately controlled with salbutamol alone.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and adolescents (≥12 years):
Recommended: 2 puffs once or twice daily.
Max: up to 2 puffs 3–4 times daily
Children 5–11 years:
Recommended: 1 puff once or twice daily.
Max: 2 puffs twice daily.
If an increase in frequency is needed, reassessment by a physician is necessary. Inhalation technique should be verified.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to beclomethasone, salbutamol, or any excipients
Children under 5 years
Severe cardiac arrhythmias
Active pulmonary tuberculosis (caution with corticosteroids).
Precautions:
Monitor asthma symptoms and lung function regularly
Increased need for β2-agonists may indicate worsening asthma
Systemic corticosteroid effects possible at high doses: Cushing’s syndrome, adrenal suppression, growth delay, glaucoma, cataracts
Regular height monitoring in children
Do not abruptly discontinue
Ensure correct inhalation technique
Paradoxical bronchospasm may occur—treatment should be discontinued if it happens.
Side Effects:
Common:
Tremor, headache
Hoarseness, throat irritation
Oral or pharyngeal candidiasis.
Uncommon to Very Rare:
- Hypokalemia
- Allergic reactions (angioedema, urticaria, rash)
- Sleep disturbances, hyperactivity, anxiety
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Visual disturbances
