Trade Name: Polyfresh Advanced Lubricant Eye Drops Immediate and long-lasting relief 10 ml Composition: Glycerin (0.9%) Sodium hyaluronate (0.1%) Carboxymethyl cellulose (0.5%) Properties: Polyfresh Advanced contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer that is also present in the structure of the human eye. Its main physical characteristic is viscoelasticity. The coating of sodium hyaluronate results in increased lubrication of the corneal surface. The formulation enhances the viscosity for long-lasting sodium hyaluronate, also soothes the cornea and increases time for maximum protection. Glycerin provides immediate moisturizing and long-lasting action. Indications : – For the treatment of the symptoms of dry eye (such as soreness, burning, irritation or dryness) caused by not producing enough tears to keep the eye wet. This includes patients who have Chronic Dry Eye Syndrome and Sjogren’s syndrome. – For use post LASIK surgery and also for prolonged relief of discomfort associated with mechanical stress: – Wearing of hard or soft contact lenses. – Environmental stress induced by air conditioning, wind, coldness, sun, dryness or smoke. – Visual stress from intense viewing, e.g. at computer terminals, microscopes. – Advanced age. Dosage and Administration : Instill 1 – 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye(s) as often as needed, or as directed by the physician. Side effects: No Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this drug. Warnings and precautions: – Not to be used for injection into the eye. – Do not use it after the expire date. – Do not swallow the solution. – If you have ongoing problems, please talk to your doctor about continued use of the drops.
