Trade Name: Cerebroforte syrup Composition: Each 5 ml syrup contains: Piracetam 1 gm Inactive ingredients: Sodium acetate, methyl paraben, glycerin, sodium saccharin, coconut flavor, purified water. Properties: Nootropic agent. It has a positive effect on metabolic processes and blood circulation in the brain. Increases the utilization of glucose, improves the course of metabolic processes, improves microcirculation in ischemic areas, inhibits the aggregation of activated platelets. It has a protective effect in case of brain damage caused by hypoxia, intoxication and electric shock. Improves the integrative activity of the brain. It does not have a sedative and psychostimulant effect. Reduces the duration of provoked vestibular neuronitis. Inhibits increased aggregation of activated platelets and, in the case of pathological rigidity of erythrocytes, improves their deformability and filtering ability. Indications: Memory impairment, dizziness, decreased concentration, emotional lability, dementia due to cerebrovascular accident (ischemic stroke), brain injury, intellectual-mnestic disorders, cortical myoclonus; comatose states of vascular, traumatic or toxic genesis, learning disabilities in children that are not associated with inadequate education or the peculiarities of the family environment (as part of combination therapy); sickle cell anemia (as part of combination therapy). Dosage and administration: At the beginning of treatment, 800 mg is prescribed in 3 doses before meals, with improvement in the condition, a single dose is gradually reduced to 400 mg. The daily dose is 30-160 mg / kg of body weight, the frequency of administration is 2 times / day, if necessary – 3-4 times / day. The course of treatment is continued from 2-3 weeks to 2-6 months.
