Stimulan Composition: Each 100 ml contains: Piracetam 20 mg Inactive ingredients: Methylparaben, propylparaben, sorbitol, glycerin, sodium acetate, sodium saccharin, propylene glycol, cherry flavor, purified water Properties: Positively affects brain metabolism, increases ATP concentration in brain tissue, enhances RNA and phospholipid biosynthesis, stimulates glycolytic processes, and increases glucose utilization. Improves integrative brain function, supports memory consolidation, and facilitates learning. Modifies the speed of excitation propagation in the brain, improves microcirculation without vasodilatory effects, and inhibits activated platelet aggregation. Protects the brain from damage caused by hypoxia, intoxication, or electric shock, enhances alpha and beta activity, reduces delta activity on EEG, and decreases the severity of vestibular nystagmus. It does not have sedative or psychostimulant effects. Improves interhemispheric connections and synaptic conductivity in neocortical structures, restores and stabilizes cerebral functions, especially consciousness, memory, and speech, increases mental performance, and improves cerebral blood flow. Indications: Memory disorders, dizziness, reduced attention, emotional lability, dementia due to cerebrovascular disorders (ischemic stroke), brain injuries, Alzheimer’s disease, elderly patients; comatose states of vascular, traumatic, or toxic origin; treatment of withdrawal and psycho-organic syndrome in chronic alcoholism; learning difficulties in children unrelated to inadequate teaching or family environment (as part of combined therapy); sickle cell anemia (as part of combined therapy). Dosage and administration: The optimal dosage regimen is determined by a doctor. Strict adherence to the specific dosage form according to indications is required. Contraindications: Renal failure (GFR <20 ml/min), hemorrhagic stroke (acute stage), depression with anxiety, Huntington’s chorea, pregnancy, lactation, children under 1 year, hypersensitivity. Precautions: Piracetam should be used in acute brain injury in combination with other detoxification and restorative methods, and with psychotropic drugs for psychotic states. Regular monitoring of kidney and liver function is recommended. Avoid abrupt discontinuation in patients with cortical myoclonia. Side effects: Nervousness, excitement, irritability, anxiety, sleep disturbances, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, anorexia, dizziness, headache, extrapyramidal disorders, seizures, tremors, increased sexual activity; rarely – weakness, drowsiness; in elderly – increased anginal attacks; in children, especially with mental retardation: restlessness, anxiety, hyperactivity, decreased attention span, imbalance, irritability, increased conflict.
