Mark Fast, 30 Capsules Composition: Each capsule contains: Chlorzoxazone – 250 mg Ibuprofen – 200 mg Description: Mark Fast is a combination medication containing a centrally acting muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (Ibuprofen). It provides effective relief of muscle pain and spasms associated with trauma, inflammation, or musculoskeletal disorders. It acts by reducing muscle tone and inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis to relieve pain and inflammation. Indications for Use: Relief of pain and cramping of skeletal muscles in cases of: Sprains and dislocations, Muscle aches, Stiff neck, Tension headaches, Traumatic muscle injury, Back pain, Spondyloarthritis, Cervical syndrome Dosage and Administration: For oral use, after meals. Usual dose: 1 to 2 capsules three times daily, according to the severity of the condition. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the product History of allergic reactions (e.g., bronchospasm) to aspirin or other NSAIDs Impaired liver function Porphyria Precautions: -Use with caution in patients with asthma or nasal polyposis -Use with caution in patients with clotting disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy Cardiovascular risk: -NSAIDs may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke -Risk may increase with duration of use and in patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors -Contraindicated for peri-operative pain in coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery Gastrointestinal risk: -NSAIDs increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse events such as inflammation, bleeding, ulceration, and perforation -Elderly patients are at higher risk Hepatotoxicity: -Rare but serious hepatocellular injury reported with chlorzoxazone -Monitor for early signs of liver toxicity (fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, jaundice, dark urine, etc.) -Discontinue if liver enzymes or bilirubin are elevated -Avoid concomitant use with alcohol or CNS depressants due to additive effects Side Effects: Most common: Nausea Epigastric pain Heartburn Diarrhea Vomiting Indigestion Constipation Flatulence Rare: Peptic ulcer Gastrointestinal bleeding Pancreatitis Gastritis Hepatitis Jaundice Abnormal liver function tests Stevens-Johnson syndrome Pregnancy and Lactation: The safety of Mark Fast during pregnancy is not adequately studied The drug may be excreted in breast milk and affect a nursing infant Use only under medical supervision during pregnancy or lactation Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Packaging: Carton box containing 3 blister strips, each containing 10 hard gelatin capsules, a package insert.
