Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.

Acetylcistein 600 mg 10 sachets Composition: Each sachet (4.6 g) contains: Active ingredient: N-Acetylcysteine 600 mg. Inactive ingredients: Citric acid anhydrous, Mannitol, Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium carbonate anhydrous, Trimagnesium dicitrate anhydrous, Saccharin sodium, Aspartame, Povidone K25, Allura red, Blackberry flavor. Description: Effervescent instant granules with a blackberry taste. After dissolution in water, form a slightly pink solution. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic agent that reduces the viscosity of bronchial mucus, facilitating expectoration and improving airway clearance. Indications for Use: For adults in the treatment of bronchial conditions where reduction of mucus viscosity is required to ease expectoration, especially during episodes of acute bronchitis. Dosage and Method of Administration: For oral use only. Dissolve the content of one sachet in half a glass of water and drink immediately. Adults: 1 sachet once daily. Elderly and debilitated patients: Recommended to take in the morning. Acetylcysteine is for symptomatic treatment and should not be used for more than 8-10 days without medical advice. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any excipient. - Children under 2 years old. Precautions: - Bronchospasm may occur, especially in asthmatic patients; discontinue treatment immediately if this occurs. - Do not use with antitussive agents (risk of mucus retention). - Caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, especially if using drugs that irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa. - Rare cases of severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell’s syndrome) have been reported; discontinue treatment if skin or mucosal lesions appear. - Increased fluidity of mucus may occur at the beginning of treatment; ensure effective expectoration or use postural drainage if necessary. - Contains 290.92 mg sodium per sachet - use with caution in patients on a sodium-restricted diet. - Contains aspartame (source of phenylalanine); not suitable for patients with phenylketonuria. - A slight sulfur odor is normal and does not indicate drug alteration. Side Effects: - Immune system: Hypersensitivity, anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions (rare). - Respiratory system: Bronchospasm, dyspnea (rare). - Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, stomatitis, dyspepsia (common). - Skin: Rash, urticaria, pruritus, angioedema (uncommon to rare). - Cardiovascular: Tachycardia, hypotension (rare). - Other: Headache, tinnitus, fever, facial edema (uncommon). Decreased platelet aggregation has been reported, but clinical relevance is unclear. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Limited human data show no risk to the fetus. Animal studies do not indicate reproductive toxicity. May be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if clearly needed. No adverse effects expected in breastfed infants. Storage Conditions: Store below 30°C in a dry place. Use immediately after reconstitution. Keep out of reach of children. Packaging: Carton box containing 10 sachets (each with 5 g of granules) and a package leaflet.
