Foradil contains Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, which helps them stay open for up to 12 hours, making it easier to breathe and preventing symptoms like wheezing. Respiratory Management: Used for the long-term maintenance treatment of Asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). It is also frequently used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. Usage: These capsules are strictly for oral inhalation only using the Aerolizer device; they must never be swallowed. The effect usually starts within 1–3 minutes and lasts for approximately 12 hours. Important Note: This is a maintenance (preventative) medication. It should not be used as a rescue inhaler for sudden, acute attacks of breathlessness.
