This high-strength Diskus is used when lower doses of combination therapy have not successfully controlled breathing problems. It provides 12 hours of airway protection and significantly reduces the frequency of flare-ups (exacerbations). Primary Indications: Maintenance treatment of severe Asthma in adults and adolescents (12+ years) and symptomatic treatment of advanced COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). It helps keep the airways open and reduces deep-seated lung inflammation. Usage: The standard dose is one inhalation twice daily (morning and evening). Because it is a high-dose steroid, using it exactly as prescribed is critical to avoid systemic side effects. Important: You must rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every dose. The high concentration of steroid increases the risk of oral thrush or throat irritation if residue is left in the mouth. Note: This is the original international brand by GSK (GlaxoSmithKline).
