This medication is an "expectorant" that dissolves the chemical bonds in thick mucus. By turning thick phlegm into a thinner liquid, it helps you cough it out more effectively, clearing your chest and making breathing easier. Primary Indications: Relief of "wet" coughs associated with Bronchitis, Common Colds, Sinusitis, and Flu. It is also used to protect the liver in cases of suspected Paracetamol overdose. Usage: Dissolve the contents of one sachet in half a glass of water and drink immediately. Standard Dosage: Adults & Children over 12: 1 sachet 3 times daily. Children (7–12 years): 1 sachet 3 times daily. Children (2–7 years): 1 sachet 2 times daily. Important: Do not take this right before bed. It is best to take it at least 2–3 hours before lying down to allow the thinned mucus to be coughed up rather than settling in your chest while you sleep.
