Primary Indications (Psychiatric & Neurological)
Schizophrenia: Specifically used to treat "negative symptoms" like social withdrawal, lack of motivation, and emotional flatness.
Dysthymia: A form of chronic, low-grade depression where the patient feels "low" for long periods.
Acute Psychotic Episodes: To manage disturbed thinking and perceptions (usually as part of a larger treatment plan).
Secondary Indications (GIT & Functional Disorders)
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): Helps calm the "gut-brain" connection to reduce stress-induced bloating and abdominal pain.
Functional Dyspepsia: Relieves upper stomach discomfort and heaviness after eating.
Chronic Nausea: Blocks dopamine receptors in the brain's vomiting center to manage persistent nausea.
Usage & Administration
Dosage: Usually one tablet (50 mg) daily.

Important Safety Information
Do Not Stop Suddenly: Abruptly stopping can cause insomnia, irritability, or a return of symptoms. Always taper off under medical guidance.
