Omez 10 mg is a "step-down" treatment. It provides enough acid suppression to keep symptoms away once a condition has healed, or to manage less severe cases of acidity. Primary Indications: Prevention of Relapse: Used for long-term maintenance in patients with healed Reflux Esophagitis or Duodenal Ulcers to prevent them from coming back. Milder GERD: Relief of symptoms like occasional heartburn and acid regurgitation. Symptomatic Dyspepsia: Treatment of general "sour stomach," bloating, and indigestion. Secondary Indications: Prevention of NSAID-related Lesions: Protects the stomach in patients who must take daily low-dose painkillers or aspirin (like the Aspocid you mentioned). Pediatric Use: Sometimes prescribed for children (weight-based) for severe reflux, strictly under a doctor's supervision. Usage: Usually one capsule daily. For maximum effect, take it 30–60 minutes before breakfast. Important: Do not crush or chew. The pellets inside must remain intact to work properly.
