Bisolvon 8 mg – 20 Tablets
Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.
Bisolvon is a "secretolytic" medicine, which means it helps move stubborn secretions out of the respiratory tract. It is a standard choice for "wet" or "chesty" coughs.
Primary Indications:
Productive Cough: To treat chesty coughs accompanied by thick, sticky phlegm.
Bronchitis: Used in both acute and chronic bronchitis to clear the airways.
Respiratory Infections: For relief from chest congestion caused by the common cold, flu, or sinus infections.
Secondary Indications:
Post-Operative Care: To help clear the lungs after surgery where mucus buildup might occur.
COPD Support: Sometimes used to help manage mucus in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Usage: * Adults and children over 12: 1 to 2 tablets three times a day.
Children (6–12 years): 1 tablet three times a day.
Important: * Hydration: Drink plenty of water while taking this medicine; water helps the bromhexine thin the mucus more effectively.
Stomach Ulcers: Use with caution if you have a history of gastric ulcers, as it can irritate the stomach lining.
Initial Cough Increase: You may notice an initial increase in coughing; this is normal as the body works to expel the thinned mucus.
