Aspocid 75 mg – 20 Tablets
Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.
This medication is primarily used for cardiovascular protection. By making the blood "less sticky," it helps prevent the blockages that lead to heart attacks and strokes.
Primary Indications:
Prevention of Heart Attack: For patients with a history of heart disease or those at high risk.
Stroke Prevention: To reduce the risk of recurrent strokes or "mini-strokes" (TIA).
Angina Management: To help manage chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.
Post-Surgery: Often prescribed after heart bypass surgery or stent placement to keep arteries open.
Secondary Indications:
Preeclampsia Prevention: Sometimes prescribed by obstetricians for pregnant women at risk of high blood pressure (only under strict medical supervision).
Usage: Usually one tablet daily. It is highly recommended to take it after a meal with a full glass of water to protect the stomach lining.
Important: * Bleeding Risk: Because it thins the blood, you may bruise more easily or bleed longer from small cuts.
Stomach Ulcers: Long-term use can irritate the stomach. Seek medical help if you notice black, tarry stools.
Reye’s Syndrome: Never give to children or teenagers under 16 with viral symptoms (flu/chickenpox) due to the risk of a rare but fatal brain/liver condition.
Note: Produced by CID Pharmaceuticals, Egypt.
