Intro: Algesal is a fast-acting topical analgesic and anti-inflammatory cream. It combines Diethylamine Salicylate with Myrtecaine to provide a "counter-irritant" effect, which creates a soothing sensation of warmth that distracts the brain from the underlying pain. Indications: Muscular Pain: Relieves muscle spasms, stiffness, and aches (e.g., lumbago or neck pain). Joint & Bone Pain: Used for minor rheumatic conditions, sciatica, and fibrositis. Trauma & Injuries: Alleviates pain from bruises, strains, sprains, and sports injuries. Inflammation: Reduces swelling associated with localized inflammatory conditions. How to Use: Application: Apply a small amount to the painful area and massage gently until the cream is fully absorbed. Frequency: Usually applied 3 times daily. Post-Use: Wash your hands thoroughly after application and try to keep the treated area warm. Crucial Rules: Broken Skin: Never apply to open wounds, eczematous skin, or mucous membranes. Aspirin Allergy: Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Age Limit: Not recommended for children under 6 years old (or those with a history of convulsions).
