Texacort 0.1% – 20g Lipocream

Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.

Intro: Texacort Lipocream is a mild-to-moderate potency corticosteroid containing Hydrocortisone 17-Butyrate. The "Lipocream" formulation is specifically designed to combine the moisturizing benefits of an ointment with the easy absorption of a cream, making it ideal for dry or sensitive skin conditions. Indications: Eczema & Dermatitis: Effectively treats inflammatory skin disorders, including atopic and contact dermatitis. Psoriasis: Relieves redness and scaling, particularly on resistant areas like elbows and knees. Skin Allergies: Calms itching and swelling caused by allergic reactions to chemicals, soaps, or materials. Inflammatory Rashes: Useful for non-infected rashes where the skin is red and irritated. How to Use: Face & Body: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 1 to 2 times daily. Application: Rub in gently until absorbed. It can be used on both dry, scaly skin and moist, weeping lesions. Duration: Use for the shortest time necessary; for infants, limit treatment to 7 days maximum. Crucial Rules: Infections: Do not use on untreated viral (herpes), fungal, or bacterial infections as it may mask the symptoms. Occlusion: Avoid covering the area with airtight bandages unless specifically instructed, as this increases drug absorption significantly. Sensitive Areas: Avoid contact with eyes and use sparingly on face and skin folds. Pregnancy: Consult your doctor; it should only be used if the benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. Generic International Brands: Locoid, Westcort, Hydrocortisone Butyrate 0.1%.
