Intro: Dermovate is the original and most well-known brand of Clobetasol Propionate, a "super-potent" (Group IV) topical corticosteroid. It is the global benchmark for treating severe, inflammatory skin conditions that do not respond to other steroids, providing rapid relief from intense itching and redness. Indications: Psoriasis: For localized, thick, and scaly plaques. Recalcitrant Eczema: Severe eczema that relapses frequently and resists weaker treatments. Lichen Planus: Managing itchy, purple, flat skin bumps. Discoid Lupus: Treating inflammatory patches associated with lupus on the skin. Severe Dermatitis: Rapid control of acute, painful skin inflammation. How to Use: Application: Apply a thin layer sparingly to the affected area only. Frequency: Use once or twice daily. Duration: Should not be used for more than 2 consecutive weeks. Maximum dose is 50g per week. Crucial Rules: Face and Skin Folds: Never apply to the face, armpits, or groin unless specifically supervised by a dermatologist, as it causes rapid skin thinning.
