Intro: Dermovate Ointment is a super-potent topical corticosteroid. While the cream is better for moist or "weeping" skin, the ointment is specifically designed for dry, scaly, or thickened skin lesions. The greasy base helps trap moisture and ensures better penetration into tough, hard-to-treat patches. Indications: Psoriasis: Ideal for thick, silvery, scaly plaques on elbows, knees, or the scalp. Chronic Eczema: Treating very dry, thickened skin that frequently relapses. Lichen Planus: Managing extremely itchy, purple, flat bumps. Discoid Lupus: Targeting stubborn autoimmune skin patches. Hyperkeratotic Conditions: Any condition where the skin has become excessively thick and hard. How to Use: Application: Apply a very thin layer to the affected area only. Frequency: Use once or twice daily. Duration: Do not exceed 2 consecutive weeks. If no improvement occurs within 2–4 weeks, consult your doctor. Crucial Rules: Dry Lesions Only: Best used on dry/scaly areas; avoid using on "oozing" skin. Face & Folds: Strictly forbidden on the face, groin, or armpits as it can cause rapid and permanent skin thinning. Occlusion: Do not cover with bandages unless a doctor tells you to (this is sometimes done at night for thick psoriasis).
