Intro: Cetal is a widely trusted analgesic and antipyretic produced by EIPICO. It contains Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) at a concentration of 250mg per 5ml. This "extra strength" suspension is typically used for older children and adolescents, providing a more concentrated dose than standard infant drops to manage pain and high fever effectively. Indications: Fever Reduction: Lowers high temperatures caused by infections, flu, or post-vaccination reactions. Pain Relief: Relieves mild to moderate pain, including headaches, toothaches, earaches, and sore throats. Cold & Flu: Eases body aches and discomfort associated with respiratory viral infections. How to Use: Dosage: Always base the dose on the child's weight. A general guide is 15mg per 1kg of body weight per dose. 2–5 years: 2.5ml to 5ml every 4–6 hours. 6–10 years: 5ml every 4–6 hours. 10–12 years: 10ml every 4–6 hours. Max Dose: Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Wait at least 4 hours between doses. Application: Shake the bottle well for 10 seconds before each use to ensure the medicine is evenly mixed. Crucial Rules: Paracetamol Warning: Do not give this with other medicines that also contain paracetamol (like cold/flu syrups) to avoid a dangerous overdose. Liver Health: Use with extreme caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment. Limit: Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days for fever or 5 days for pain without consulting a doctor.
