Lamifen 1% – 15g Antifungal Cream

Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.

Intro: Lamifen Cream is a potent, broad-spectrum antifungal medication produced by European Egyptian Pharmaceutical Industries (EEPI). Its active ingredient is Terbinafine Hydrochloride (1%). Unlike Clotrimazole, which stops fungus from growing, Terbinafine is "fungicidal," meaning it actually kills the fungus. This often results in a faster treatment time for common skin infections. Indications: Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis): Cracking, scaling, and itching between the toes. Jock Itch (Tinea Cruris): Fungal infections in the groin and inner thigh area. Ringworm (Tinea Corporis): Circular, red, itchy skin patches on the body. Pityriasis Versicolor: Discolored patches (white, tan, or pink) on the chest or back. Skin Yeast Infections: Red, itchy rashes in skin folds (Candidiasis). How to Use: Dosage: Apply once or twice daily as directed by your doctor. Preparation: Clean and thoroughly dry the infected skin before application. Application: Spread a thin layer of cream on the affected area and the skin immediately surrounding it. Important: Treatment for Athlete's foot or Jock itch often only takes 1 week, but you must use it consistently. Crucial Rules: Complete the Course: Even if the itching stops after 2 days, finish the full week. Stopping early is the main reason fungal infections return. Hygiene: Keep the affected area clean and dry. Change clothes/socks that touch the infected area every day. Side Effects: Generally very mild. You may notice slight redness, itching, or stinging at the application site. Age Limit: Not recommended for children under 12 years old unless prescribed by a specialist. Generic International Brands: Lamisil (Original Brand), Terbin (Local), Fungisafe (Local).
