Terbinafine 1% – Topical Antifungal Spray
Available at Pharmaegy Pharmacy. Use as directed by your doctor.
Intro: Terbinafine sprays (like Terbin or Lamisil) are "fungicidal" treatments that kill the fungus rather than just stopping its growth. The spray format is highly recommended for Athlete's Foot because it can easily reach between the toes and can also be sprayed inside shoes to kill lingering fungal spores.
Indications:
Athlete’s Foot: Relieves itching, burning, and cracking between toes.
Jock Itch: Ideal for the groin area as it dries quickly and isn't greasy.
Ringworm: For circular itchy rashes on the arms, legs, or torso.
Pityriasis Versicolor: Treating discolored patches on the chest and back.
How to Use:
Dosage: Spray the affected area once or twice daily for 1 week.
Preparation: Clean and thoroughly dry the area before spraying.
Application: Hold the bottle 10cm away and spray enough to wet the area and the surrounding skin.
Pro Tip: For foot fungus, spray the inside of your shoes once a day to prevent the infection from coming back.
Crucial Rules:
Don't Stop Early: Even if the itching stops in 2 days, continue for the full 7 days to ensure the fungus is dead.
External Only: Avoid spraying near the face, eyes, or broken skin.
Side Effects: Mild redness or a temporary stinging sensation is normal.
Storage: Keep away from heat or open flames (the spray is often flammable).
