Intro: Coli-Urinal is a comprehensive urinary antiseptic and antispasmodic produced by Misr Pharmaceutical Co. It is a unique 3-in-1 formula containing Hexamine, Piperazine, and Khellin. It doesn't just treat infections; it also works to dissolve salts and relax the urinary tract to make passing stones less painful. Indications: Urinary Infections: Treats chronic and recurrent cystitis and urethritis. Uric Acid Salts: Helps dissolve uric acid crystals and prevents them from forming stones. Renal Colic: Relieves spasms and sharp pain in the ureter and bladder. Stone Prophylaxis: Prevents the recurrence of stones in patients prone to them. How to Use: Dosage: Typically 1 tablespoon dissolved in half a glass of water. Frequency: Taken 3 times daily, preferably after meals. The "Clear" Rule: You must drink large amounts of water (at least 2.5 liters) to ensure the Hexamine turns into its active antiseptic form in the bladder. Crucial Rules: Antibiotic Interactions: Avoid taking Coli-Urinal with Sulfa drugs (like Septrin or Sutrim), as they can react together and form crystals in the urine.
