Intro: Amosar Forte is a potent dual-action medication used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It combines two distinct therapeutic agents: Losartan Potassium (100 mg), an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, and Hydrochlorothiazide (25 mg), a thiazide diuretic that helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water. This "Forte" version is typically prescribed when blood pressure requires stronger control than single-agent therapy can provide. Indications: Hypertension: Treating high blood pressure to prevent complications like heart attack or kidney failure. Stroke Risk Reduction: Specifically used for hypertensive patients with Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (enlarged heart) to lower the risk of stroke. Edema: Reducing fluid retention associated with various medical conditions. How to Use: Dosage: 1 tablet daily, or as strictly directed by your physician. Timing: Can be taken with or without food. However, because it contains a diuretic, it is best taken in the morning to avoid frequent nighttime urination. Administration: Swallow whole with a glass of water.
